Yes! Finally money well-spent on a game that was CLEARLY made with effort and care! Generally scary, puzzles could've been a little tougher, but it has a very good storyline. I can't wait for the third one!!. I had an absolute blast with this game. Finished in within two days, and enjoyed every minute. Had some some trouble when I first got it, with the game not even opening or even being on my computer, and it appears that other people with Macs had some trouble as well, but this was cleared up. The game is long, with plenty to see and do and sufficiently creepy vibes and imagry (although I could've done with some even creepier scenes and scares!). The story is full of twists and turns, and definately requires multiple replays to fully absorb what is happening. The 'Hint' button was a big help, due to having lots of objects in the inventory, as was the map. No hidden object scenes, unlike the first game, but this did not bother me as it allowed the game to flow more continuously.Overall, a great game and a worthy successor to the scariest game I've ever play. I highly recommend it!. Better than the first part - better videos, story, mechanics and soundtrack. However, if you haven't played the first part, you might want to do that before playing the second one, as the story continues right where it left off at the end of part 1.. True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 1 was my favourite point and click game of all time, so I had high expectations for Part 2. The expectations were definitely met since Part 2 is another great game in the series.Pros: the atmosphere is even better than Part 1's atmosphere since part 2 is set at an asylum. The background music is subtle but adds to the imagery. The story itself is interesting and was continued well from season 1, and it leaves you wanting more because there are still some unsolved mysteries (Part 3 has been confirmed so I expect they'll be answered there).Cons: I can't think of any cons that aren't bugs/errors. There are a few bugs that could probably be fixed pretty easily with a few patches, for example a few visual glitches with a puzzle - the glitches aren't major enough to affect gameplay, but fixing them would make the game even better. Perhaps the most noticeable errors this game has are the grammatical errors, which are kind of frequent - I would say there are 1 or 2 grammatical errors every few documents you find. Even outside of the documents there are a few grammatical errors, for example when you left click to examine a certain item I remember the text at the top saying the letter 's' instead of 'a' (as in the word 'a').Also, I don't know if it's just Windows 10 or something about my PC, but sometimes the cutscenes are either completely silent or too loud - changing the volume settings does nothing. During the final cutscene the audio was completely silent even after restarting. I had to watch it on YouTube. That was the only cutscene which was silent. The others were either too loud or just normal. I had the same problem with Part 1.Suggestions: - make a few patches fixing the grammatical errors and the small visual bugs with puzzles/gameplay.Overall rating: 8.85/10 (would probably be moved up to 9 if all the things were fixed).. I was so excited for this game as I LOVED Part 1 which was a masterpiece; amazing tense atmosphere throughout the game, great graphics and cutscenes, incredibly intriguing storyline which was easy to follow and left me begging for the next part and a conclusion to the mystery. However, I was so so SO disappointed. I can not believe the developers had five years to work on this and this is what they came up with. I really wanted to love this game, I tried so hard to love it but I just couldn't. This game is a mess of epic proportions; let's start with the storyline, or rather the lack thereof.The game starts off good, but as soon as Act 2 begins it all goes downhill very quickly. You find notes with information that makes no sense and you think that maybe it will start making sense as you progress in the game; nope. It makes absolutely no sense whatsoever; way too many characters are introduced without any proper backstory to them so you have no idea who or what they are and what role they play(ed), the information is given to you in small pieces at a time and does not follow a logical sequence, meaning that you can discover a note and THEN discover another note a couple hours later which gave backstory to the first note. It is extremely confusing and frustrating and leaves you wondering whether you are stupid or something as you don't understand what is going on. I had to go back several times and proof-read the diary to check if I missed something, but I hadn't. It was just the story that had massive plotholes and I was never given the "aha"-moment as to what was happening and what the story was about.On to the graphics and atmosphere; I can't lie, some of the artwork is beautiful, but the rest of the graphics is rough on the eyes and gives me the impression of a rushed patchwork. The atmosphere from Part 1 is completely gone; you are just trodding along, trying to piece together a puzzle that lacks so many important parts. The "scary" asylum is a joke; there are some hospital beds trown over, a couple blood stains here and there and papers strewn about the place. The jump scares are cheap and predictable, none of the tense feeling that someone is watching you that was so prevalent in Part 1 is there. There is no smooth transitioning from one room to the next, the music is raggedy and you often have to click several times on an object to choose it. What little atmosphere the game acquired in Act 1 is completely and utterly destroyed by the sheer amount of grammar mistakes. There were so many times I couldn't understand what a note was trying to say, which also had a massive negative effect on the story as the information contained within didn't make any sense. It was painfully obvious it was a rushed job and after waiting for five years, I was not happy. In conclusion, DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. It is absolutely not worth the price or the effort, you will just end up frustrated and angry because what once was a great game has turned into something completely different. There is no conclusion and you are left more confused after playing the game than you were before starting it. Rather than answer all the questions you may have, the game only serves to add even more confusing elements that didn't even need to be there. I'm not even sure if I care to find out what happens in Part 3 and I honestly can't see how anyone can recommend this game after playing Part 1. I played on Casual and I struggled to finish the game as I was so frustrated and sick of the mess this "game" is.. And finally - here is the part two! God, I waited for this for so long, and I am not disappointed. Spooky atmosphere of emptiness and loneliness is here again, with lot of interesting puzzles, scenes, sounds and jump scares. Although I must say that the second part is not as scary as the first one, and I didn't learn almost anything new about the story, maybe just a little bit (I guess I figured out a lot of the story, by myself in the first game). Nonetheless, I loved the game. I can not wait for the next part to play it, and find out if I got the story right, or if it has some unexpected twist. And I really hope that I will not have to wait for the last part this long. Great work, people form 'Goblinz', keep up the good work!. I was so impressed with this game. I saw a few negative reviews with complaints about bugs, but I had absolutely no problems. My only complaint is that I do not want to have to wait for part 3. Excellent job. I am so glad to see this game come out@ It was so worth waiting for! I got drawn in right away, and love every aspect of the game. The storyline gets your attention, and the cut scenes only add to the drama. The music is suspenseful, and you don't know when something might jump out at you, or something will go dark. Definitely worth getting! A great game from a great developer!
