If you are looking to kill a few minutes, this is a good place to do it.. I like this game a lot and I'm going to return to it many times, but I have various issues with it that somewhat spoiled the experience. The coolest thing, though, is a unique artstyle (often introducing some gore elements) that brings to mind expensive full-colored comic books. Multitude of choices and fast, user-friendly interface make the replayability a great feature.The greatest issue of the Swordbreaker is its trial-and-error gameplay. Some decisions you make during this choose-your-own-story game are significant and cleaver and will represent various resoults or playstyles you want to make, but very often it's just the case of "oh, so this choice kills me instantly for no reason. I need to remember to select the second one instead".The best (worst?) example of this is the scene during which you enter a suspicious room with obvious dark magic in it. You can either take a look into the wardrobe, or go to sleep. What will you do? Well, if you're going the bed, the game will continue. But if you choose the wardrobe, RIP! An invisible enemy cuts your throat. Not the best piece of writing, huh? Also, the music sucks. I played in a silent mode, but I think you can just play some cool fantasy music on YouTube to fill the musical void.Sometimes the English translation from Russian struggles and for some reason the voice actor that narrates video-cutscenes got a different script than the subtitles suggest, what should be an easy to fix issue, but well. I also don't understand why can't you just modify the game's volume instead of turning off and on the sound... But only parts of the sound. This makes no sense to me.Nevertheless, a great purchase and a great example that game books can function quite well in a video game format.. This game was just what i needed 10/10.. Simple and funny, i enjoyed the time spent with this game.. i need more of this. 10/10. This game is so bad it's good. The writing is horrid, because it's translated (by Unknown....lawlz) from Russian.
